About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with 4-5 years of experience to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based onsite in Pune, Hyderabad, or Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with proficiency in Python or R and experience working with cloud platforms and data visualization tools. You will play a critical role in analyzing complex datasets, building predictive models, and delivering actionable insights to drive business decisions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collect, preprocess, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems.
  • Apply statistical modeling and data mining techniques to extract meaningful insights.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib/Seaborn to communicate findings effectively.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using SQL and tools such as Airflow or Spark.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate data-driven solutions.
  • Leverage cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform) for scalable model development and deployment.
  • Propose innovative solutions and strategies based on data analysis to address business challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in data science or machine learning projects.
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) or R.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data pipeline tools like Airflow and Spark.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or Google AI Platform.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Good to have: Experience with Deep Learning, NLP, Time Series Analysis, MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and relevant certifications or project portfolios.
