Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Azure Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in migrating on-premise databases to Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, configuring, implementing, and maintaining various cloud-native database solutions while ensuring security, performance, and high availability. This role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate on-premises databases to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Configure, implement, and manage databases on Azure (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
• Use T-SQL for creating stored procedures, managing permissions, and performing data operations.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and apply optimizations.
• Leverage Azure-native tools like Azure Portal, Resource Manager, and PowerShell.
• Apply database changes (logical/physical) and oversee migration execution.
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards.
• Plan and configure backup, recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Maintain database documentation and monitor environment health and capacity.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with recent Azure cloud migration experience.
• Proven hands-on experience in migrating and managing cloud databases on Azure.
• Expertise in SQL, database design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with Azure-native DB services: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, MongoDB.
• Strong command of T-SQL and familiarity with Azure CLI, PowerShell, and Azure automation.
• Solid understanding of security principles and access control in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in implementing DR/HA and robust backup/recovery plans.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (nice to have)
