About the Role

We are seeking three highly skilled Network Engineer Contractors—preferably at the Senior level—to support a critical, fast-paced migration and infrastructure modernization initiative for a leading enterprise client. This role is pivotal in enabling secure, scalable, and resilient network operations as part of a large-scale migration from on-premises data centers (Allen, TX and McKinney, TX) to Equinix Extranet and AWS cloud environments. You will collaborate directly with application teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure seamless transitions, robust documentation, and continuous network availability during this transformative period.
Location: Remote (North America time zones: PST/CST/EST)
Duration: 12-month contract
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant network engineering experience

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and execute client migrations from Allen and McKinney on-premises environments to Equinix Extranet, including Experian and Experian Health clients.
• Enable Cloud 9 application migrations from Texas on-prem to Equinix and AWS connectivity.
• Manage decommissioning of legacy network infrastructure at Allen and McKinney sites.
• Address non-standard network builds and configurations across diverse business units and client accounts.
• Contribute to network redesigns, including updating/creating documentation and diagrams for extranet traffic flows and legacy decommissioning.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability across hybrid (on-prem/cloud) environments.
• Configure and manage Cisco networking devices, NetScaler/F5 load balancers, Fortinet security solutions, Checkpoint firewalls, VPN technologies.
• Monitor networks using NNMi (Network Node Manager i) and ThousandEyes for performance insights.
• Utilize ServiceNow for IT service management; document processes in Confluence; work within Agile (Jira) frameworks; use Bitbucket for version control.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, application teams, and clients; provide clear documentation throughout all phases of the project.

Requirements

• Cisco Networking: Proficiency in configuring/managing Cisco devices (CCNA/CCNP preferred).
• Cisco NetScaler & F5 Load Balancers: Hands-on deployment/configuration/maintenance experience.
